According to a release, RadioDNS’ hybrid radio system will be supported by Jump2Go’s InnovativeFM radio services platform.
According to a release, prospective outlets for RadioDNS will include InnovateFM clients such as Beasley Broadcast Group, Summit Media Corp. and Radio One.
RadioDNS’ hybrid radio technology uses a combination of broadcast and internet to deliver programming along with added values such as internet interaction, metadata and album art. The technology is open source and free.
Jump2Go’s Allen Hartle said, “We want to help our clients participate in hybrid radio and do so in a way that’s open and won’t leave them either locked in or locked out of proprietary solutions. We’re pleased to be working with RadioDNS to enable metadata, visuals and interactivity for hybrid radio.”
RadioDNS Project Director and technology evangelist Nick Piggott added, “This is tremendous news for the U.S. automotive manufacturers tell us they’re ready to launch RadioDNS enabled radios into North America as soon they see broadcaster support.”
