Larcan, which offers a range of products for radio and television, will show its new Encore Series IBOC FM translator.
The company calls it one of the first digital FM translators of its kind. The line is offered in power levels from 25 to 250 watts with a separate linear amplifier and uses a broadband, frequency agile design.
The system includes the IBOC FM translator and linear FM amplifier; the user can spec an FM amplifier from 25W–100W or 100W–250W. Features include fully regulated power supplies and an integrated cooling system designed for extreme conditions.
Metered parameters include receive field strength, FM baseband level, digital carrier indicator, RF forward power, RF reflected power and amplifier heat sink temperature.
The company said the Encore’s design enables reception of low-level IBOC signals for rebroadcast without degradation.
