German console developer Lawo released a slew of new products for its digital console platforms.
The Lawo MultiTrack Editor is a VST-compatible software editor that resides within the digital network. While operating a classic multitrack editor/mixer, it also offers the ability to act as a smaller task editor with scripting and basic recording functions available. The editor also offers loudness monitoring.
A pair of interface cards for Lawo’s mc2 series boards and Nova73 HD routing system use Ravenna media over IP technology. According to a release the use of Ravenna allows for the use of Cat cabling, rather than dedicated MADI, and increases the number of channels a network can handle.
The SDI-Dock, a rack-mountable box, brings video into a Lawo system. It can also handle massive multichannel audio, as well. The SDI-Dock carries onboard format transcoders and each video channel has processing tools such as color correction.
