After its unveiling at IBC2015 in September, Lawo has announced it is shipping the Jade VSC virtual soundcard. The software allows Windows-based audio applications to integrate with AoIP networks without external hardware interfaces.
According to Lawo, the Jade can deliver 64 channels bidirectional Ravenna and true AES67 streaming in the Windows environment and provides multiple WDM drivers and an ASIO driver, which can be loaded by more than one application at a time.
Real-time sample rate conversion is also available for transparent playback of content sampled at a different rate than the network, adds the firm.
The Jade VSC supports Windows 7, 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2.
