Lawo Shows Radio DAW

New router hardware to be available as well

Lawo says that Edit (shown) is a DAW aimed at the radio industry. Available in single-track and multitrack versions, Edit promises high-quality audio by using some of Lawo’s high-quality audio algorithms, says the company.

Edit functions as a waveform editor but it also adds features such as drag and drop for some items. Onboard tools include EQs, compressors, limiters and time stretching. The multitrack version is compatible with VST plug-ins. Edit is cognizant of loudness protocols in the U.S. (ATCS A/85) and Europe (ITU-R BS.1770 and EBU R128).

Other software new to the show is Jade, a software router.

Also noteworthy from Lawo is a new router for the Nova family, Nova73 compact. The Nova73 compact can operate as a standalone router or with Lawo’s mc2 console family.

Lawo says the Nova73 compact works especially well with the new-to-the-show second generation of the mc256 digital console. The mc256 can handle 16 to 80 faders, up to 7.1 surround sound and a 96 kHz sampling rate.
