Attention OEMs and mod builders looking to make products compatible with the Axia Audio Livewire IP spec. Axia is making available a SIM card that will do just that, the Livewire SIM.
An Axia release describes it as: “… a 72-pin single inline module with a compact, 4.55 inches x 2.2 inches form-factor. It fits Dolby-E type slots (Dolby Cat No. 552 and 559) and supports standard Dolby input-dominant and output-dominant I/O modes as well as 8x stereo-channel TDM…”
Axia Audio President Michael Dosch said, “With the Livewire SIM, a ready-made interface, Axia partners can fast-track the addition of Livewire to their products for instant access to the enormous installed base of Livewire users around the world.”
