The last potential hurdle to a December launch for digital terrestrial radio services in Hungary was eliminated 30 October when Magyar Rádió lost its lawsuit contesting the results of the digital radio multiplex tender.
The public-service broadcaster contested in August the results of the multiplex tender issued this summer. The Hungarian communications authority, Nemzeti Hírközlési Hatóság (NHH), had declared TDF subsidiary Antenna Hungária and its licensee company Antenna Digitális Rádió Musorterjeszto Kft. as a winner of the right to operate the VHF-band digital radio transmission network.
