If Kevin Martin’s term as chairman is nearing its end, as commission observers expect with a change of administrations pending, the Austin show will be one of the last chances for broadcasters to hear from him in person while in office.
The Federal Communications Commission will be represented at the NAB Radio Show by the chairman and a fellow commissioner.
Martin will take part in an interview with NAB Radio Board member Russ Withers, owner of Withers Broadcasting Companies, during a breakfast session on Thursday, Sept. 18.
“One-on-One With Chairman Martin” will begin at 7:15 a.m. and be followed by the Group Executives Super Session Breakfast, which lasts until 8:45 a.m.
Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein will participate in the convention as well; he will be interviewed by NAB Radio Board Chairman Steve Newberry, president and CEO of Commonwealth Broadcasting Corp., during “Breakfast With the Commissioner” on Friday, Sept. 19. The event begins at 7:30 and ends at 8:45 a.m.
