Media Broadcast, which operates the Austrian DVB-H Mobile TV platform, MUX D, completed the third phase of its network expansion last week.
The service areas that were added back in August have now been considerably extended, and the supply quality within existing regions has been enhanced even further. Around 53 percent of Austrians can now take advantage of DVB-H mobile TV services, which includes five radio channels and 15 television programs, four of which are produced in formats designed specially for mobile viewers.
New DVB-H transmitter locations have been initiated at Österreichische Rundfunksender (ORS) sites at Vienna/Himmelhof, Graz/Schöckl, Baden/Hartberg, Mattersburg/Heuberg, Steyr/Tröschberg and Bregenz/Lauterach.
