Arbitron said its March Portable People Meter results included 12 digital stations that met minimum reporting standards.
That’s out of more than 500 digital stations encoded across 14 markets. Arbitron classifies Internet streams of broadcast stations and HD Radio stations as “digital,” however all such listening to date has been reported from Internet streams of broadcast stations.
In its release of March PPM data this week, the audience researcher reported stations streaming in Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Middlesex, Nassau, San Jose and Washington, D.C.
The minimum reporting standard is a .495 weekly cume rating.
