Moseley Announces Starlink-NXGEN

New STL equipment promises four channels and wireless-, IP- and TDM-compatibility

Moseley Broadcast announced a new digital studio to transmitter link at the 2015 NAB Show.

The manufacturer described the Starlink-NXGEN system as the first four-stereo channel audio transmission system that can simultaneously operate over wireless, IP or TDM networks.

“It is the first to offer XPIC functionality that will allow broadcasters to transmit twice the amount of data in the same spectrum space as before.” It said the Starlink-NXGEN transmits AES3 192 kHz digital composite using less than 500 kHz of spectrum.

The announcement was made by Moseley President/CEO Jamal Hamdani, who said the project involved a command of digital transmission systems and software-defined digital modems, IP networking and RF engineering.

Moseley and its subsidiaries Axxcelera Broadband Wireless Inc., CarrierComm Inc. and E-band Communications LLC offer wireless solutions from 9.6 kbps to 3 Gbps covering the 250 MHz to 90 GHz spectrum for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint applications.
