NAB Sneak Peek: Elenos Unveils New Transmitters

Will introduce the latest addition to the Elenos Indium line, more

Elenos will make the trip to Las Vegas for the 2016 NAB Show and is set to focus its attention on “energy-saving technology,” according to Gianluca Busi, marketing manager for Elenos Itelco.

At the show the company will introduce the 5 kW Digital ETG Indium ultracompact FM transmitter (shown). The latest addition to the Elenos Indium line, this digital exciter is integrated in the transmitter using digital signal processing structures for audio quality, signal-to-noise ration and low total harmonic distortion.

Elenos will also feature its E10000 FM amplifier and Avatar network manager. The Avatar centralized remote control system for the management of individual transmitters or transmitter networks system lets users define performance requirements for coverage, audience type and population density via a drag and drop interface.

It offers a main data-energy management module, maintenance module, signal quality and measurement component and network management element. The main data module controls the parameters of each transmitter or network, analyzing performance, variation and trends, and then adjusts them accordingly, either remotely or locally.
