Transmitter maker Nautel is pointing at a couple of post-Superstorm Sandy successes for its transmitters on its website.
Entitled, “J1000 to the Rescue Post Sandy,” the piece outlines the inundation of New Jersey-based transmitter sites for stations WMCA(AM), WNYC(FM), WLIB(AM) and WOND(AM).
The article centers on customer relations responses immediately after the storm, delivery of needed equipment and quickly getting that equipment up and running using station engineers and Nautel personnel.
Star of the episodes is the J1000, a frequency-agile AM transmitter that turns out to be a portable wonder.
