After showcasing both its Netia Media Assist Software Suite and its compatible AirPlayList 2.0 module at the 2016 NAB Show, Netia will once again put the platform on display at the Broadcast Asia 2016 exhibition and conference.
The Media Assist software suite combines Netia’s audio automation and video management products with an optimized search engine for a multimedia asset management system that enables users to capture, record, monitor, index and search audio or video assets, explains the company. Netia has also added a new feature to the Media Assist system that will be displayed at the show, an on-demand media-logging tool.
Fully integrated into the Netia Media Assist, AirPlayList 2.0 facilitates automated playout of multiple radio channels simultaneously. According to the company, the module provides targeted encoding of audio streams for CDNs like Shoutcast and Icecast.
It also leverages datacasting functionality from the Media Assist AirPush module to deliver associated metadata. Compliant with AoIP, the AirPlayList 2.0 enables users to broadcast with a traditional physical sound card or IP-based virtual drivers.
Broadcast Asia 2016 is scheduled to take place in Singapore from May 31-June 3.
