New Card for APT Oslo

Modular codec gets ‘NextGen’ treatment

APT’s WorldNet Oslo modular multichannel codec system is receiving the “NextGen” upgrade treatment that other WorldCast Systems equipment has enjoyed.

The AoIP NextGen card is a four-channel audio over IP codec card designed for use with the Oslo frame. The card is backward-compatible with Oslos in the field. An Oslo can hold six cards.

The AoIP NextGen also features APT’s new SureStream audio over Internet optimization.

APT Sales Director Kevin Campbell stated that each card is capable of decoding four separate streams from four separate sources or time domains, “eliminating the issues of clock drift associated with streaming multiple channels over IP to a single decoder. The AoIP NextGen card can therefore decode any channel, in any audio format, from anywhere.”
