New Wireless Goodies for A-T

Audio-Technica 2000 Series gets new receiver, transmitters

Audio-Technica’s 2000 series of UHF wireless systems has new models including a receiver, bodypack transmitter and handheld transmitter.

The ATW-2100a receiver has frequency search, true diversity reception, Advanced Tone Lock squelch control and a high-pass filter. XLR and 1/4-inch connectors are used. The receiver operates 10 channels in two UHF bands (487.125–506.5 MHz and 656.12 –678.5 MHz). Retail is $329.

The ATW-210a is a bodypack transmitter with a latching cover to keep out pesky fingers. It also offers battery power LED, high/low RF power switch and power for use with condenser microphones. Retail: $239.

Last, the ATW-220a is a handheld transmitter based on the A-T Pro 41 dynamic capsule. It too has an RF power setting switch. A sturdy steel mesh protects the capsule and an onboard pop filter should smooth the sound. Retail: $329.

A variety of packages are offered, starting at $429.
