Turkey’s OnAir Medya is touting the benefits of its 4 kW FTC4K FM transmitter, when compared to its older 1 kW model, at IBC2016 in Amsterdam. Among the benefits of the newer 4 kW model is less heat produced and a smaller amount of power consumed.
The OnAir Medya 4 kW FTC4k FM transmitter has built in RDS, can be programmed from the front keys of its exciter or over RS232 with a computer. There is also a GPIO switch that runs an air-conditioner, an alarm function to stop the transmitter and it records event logs. As an option, a GSM modem can be added to control, monitor and listen to sound levels from over the internet.
