Aqua Broadcast has released a firmware update for its Cobalt FM transmitters.

The free update provides features including SNMP v3 support and dual Micro MPX inputs.

“The Audio Player has been replaced with a new Audio Manager, allowing you to configure all audio content sources (USB / Local / Stream / uMPX) in one central place for easier control,” the company said in its announcement.

Modulation failover behavior is also now more robust.

A new Factory Reset Override lets you press and hold the joystick and all three buttons to access a special factory reset screen. “Holding the joystick disables other buttons to prevent accidental actions.”

Also, users are now required to change the default password upon the first log-in, as a security precaution.

The upgrade adds several HTTPS support enhancements, and a dual LAN and multiple port option for uMPX backup.

The video below shows users how to install the update.
