Manufacturer ATEN International was at the NAB Show with what it calls the industry’s first AI-optimized audio mixer for podcasting.
The MicLIVE 6-CH “adopts SmartEQ technology to deliver acoustic enhancement for an optimized voice recording experience.”
Built in a stage box housing, the audio mixer offers up to six channels of audio, internal DSP and AD/DA converter. It’s suitable to be used with USB-C enabled laptops or tablets with audio up to 24 bit / 96 kHz.
Two dozen Voice FX programs can be used to manipulate voices. Jingle pads can save up to eight special audio effects. Features include auto ducking; built-in preamp providing gain for the mic signal; and phantom power (+48V) power supply for condenser microphones.
The mixer works with ATEN’s OnAir Audio software, giving users control over parameters while allowing them to assign audio from their computer, edit the audio and customize sound effects.
Applications include podcasts, talk shows, livestreaming, worship and music applications.
