Futuri Reintroduces Listener Driven Radio

The rebranded engagement service allows a station's audience to influence playlists

Futuri Media announced it has rebranded its Tether programming platform as Listener Driven Radio.

The AI technology company said the new name marks its renewed commitment to “empower audiences to actively participate in shaping their listening experience.”

It said it initially launched the platform in 2010, which allows listeners to influence on-air content through interactive features.

Listener Driven Radio includes crowdsourced song voting, where listeners can vote on their favorite songs via a station’s website or mobile app, influencing the station’s playlist in real-time while still adhering to its music strategy.

It also features personalized notifications, which allow users to receive alerts when chosen songs or artists are about to play.

Stations who use Listener Driven Radio can tailor the voting interface and visuals to align with their branding and sponsorship.

Futuri has also partnered with ReelWorld to bring ready-to-use imaging, which it says enhances the station’s sound by offering contest promos and intros.

The company said that current clients under the previous Tether branding will see no disruption to service.
