When you are ready to hit the road this summer, a longtime navigation platform is offering up a radio soundtrack.

MapQuest and iHeartRadio have announced a partnership that brings iHeartRadio’s streaming stations to the MapQuest website.

Upon selecting a location for navigation, users will see a “live radio” button in the top-right corner of the map, pairing real-time directions with iHeart’s audio offerings.

Mobile app integration is planned for a future release, the companies said.

MapQuest said this marks its first audio integration.

“The open road and great audio have always gone together, which is why this partnership made so much sense,” said Doug Berger, MapQuest’s general manager.

The MapQuest platform was launched in 1996, offering turn-by-turn directions, maps, routing and local discovery through its website and later its mobile app. It is operated by System1 Inc.
