Syndicate of Sounds Announces Telos Integrations

Deja Vu takes stereo content and upmixes it into 5.1

Syndicate of Sounds said its Deja Vu stereo-to-5.1 upmixer technology has been integrated into three audio platforms from Telos Alliance.

They are the ZipStream R/20, Linear Acoustic LA-5300 and Linear Acoustic UpMax ISC.

It’s a natural partnership, as Syndicate of Sounds was founded by Frank Foti, founder of Omnia Audio and executive chairman of the board of Telos.

“The integrations mark a significant milestone in Syndicate of Sounds’ OEM strategy,” the company said in a release, “demonstrating how Deja Vu is designed to operate as embedded audio processing within established broadcast, streaming and NextGen TV workflows, enhancing their broadcast while remaining invisible to the production process.”

It said Deja Vu is designed to preserve clarity, depth and spatial realism while maintaining compatibility with existing broadcast infrastructures.

“As an OEM plug-in, Deja Vu operates within the signal chain, taking stereo content and upmixing it into 5.1 without altering creative intent or requiring changes to established production practices.”

Telos Alliance CEO Scott Stiefel said that these integrations give broadcasters “a powerful new tool to improve how audio translates across distribution formats and listening environments.”
