For those iPhone users who can’t do without their public radio, the Public Radio Exchange has the app for you — the Public Radio Player.
The PRR claims to provide access to more than 500 public radio stations and their streams. It lists stations from major markets and small markets.It also has a growing collection of podcasts of popular programs.
The app can also provide news, tweets and program schedules, when available. Of course, what would a public radio-oriented object be without a “show-your-support” mechanism? The Public Radio Player offers a donation tool, as well.
