The Radio Advertising Bureau plans to present two sales training workshops on “Breaking the Daily Habit: Winning New Radio Dollars from Print” on Sept. 19. The sessions, one for sales managers and one for account executives, are part of a free nationwide RAB sales training series sponsored by Media Monitors.
Lynn Anderson, RAB senior vice president, conducts the sessions and discusses how to position radio’s strengths against newspapers, and the inequity that exists between newspapers’ dwindling circulation figures and its share of local advertising budgets.
In Session One, Anderson will talk to sales managers how to teach salespeople to sell against newspapers. Session Two is a market-customized session.
Each is free to the first 50 radio professionals in the Dallas area to register. Both sessions will be held at The Renaissance Dallas Hotel; the manager’s session is 8–9 a.m. and the account execs session is from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
