Radio Systems Adds Axia Livewire to Millenium Consoles

Radio Systems says it has collaborated with Axia Audio by adding Axia Livewire IP-Audio networking technology to Radio Systems’ Millenium audio consoles.
Using a Livewire connection, Millenium consoles interface to Axia audio networks, as well as other Livewire-capable devices like digital delivery systems, codecs and audio processors, to exchange program audio, machine logic and program-associated data over an Ethernet connection.
Axia’s Livewire lets broadcasters build audio networks using switched Ethernet to connect a facility with up to 10,000 digital stereo audio channels per system. Axia IP-Audio networks use switched Ethernet to carry audio, logic, PAD and other network traffic.
Millenium analog and digital consoles are available in 6-, 12- and 18-channel configurations. They can connect to an Axia IP-Audio network with a CAT-6 cable.
