German audio metering specialist RTW announced the release of two products in a new range of metering devices, the TouchMonitor line.
The family will be based on using touchscreens as monitor displays and controllers.
The first products are the TM7 and TM9, based on a 7-inch and a 9-inch touchscreen, respectively.
The TM7 and TM9 share basic features. The key to the system is modularity with a range of options for analog and digital input and output configurations along with choices for installed measurement and metering software, some of it from third-party providers such as TC Electronic.
TouchMonitors have IP networking capabilities and USB port connectivity. They are expected to handle multiple channels and surround sound duties, whether it is radio, sound studio or video applications. The TouchMonitor line is expected to start shipping by the end of the year.
