Sage Alerting Releases ENDEC Firmware Update

Must be installed before Sept. 24 for proper communication with IPAWS

Sage Alerting Systems has released a firmware update for U.S. users only.

The company says that Version SI-rev5 must be installed to “permit your ENDEC to continue to receive EAS CAP alerts from FEMA. A FEMA signing certificate will expire at 11:55 p.m. EDT on Sept. 24, 2018; if you do not install this update, you will not receive CAP messages from the IPAWS system after that date.”

Sage notes that this update is similar but different than a May update (CR-rev4).

The installation of the new firmware will not change any settings on the ENDEC. Instructions can be found here.

Questions can be directed to support@sagealertingsystems.com or call 1-914-872-4069.
