Sennheiser Debuts 2000 Series Wireless System

Aimed at the entry-level market

Microphone/headphone maker Sennheiser debuted a new UHF wireless microphone system at the NAB Show last week.

The Series 2000 has the standard handheld and beltpack transmitter configurations. It is designed for ease of use. The rackmountable diversity receiver has an Ethernet connection for networking multiple units and control via computer via the Wireless System Manager application.

The handheld transmitter can accept any Sennheiser evolution series mic capsule. The beltpack transmitter has a built-in guitar tuner. Transmitter power can be chosen between 10 mW, 30 mW, 50 mW or 100 mW.

Sennheiser Product Manager for Professional Wireless Systems Dawn Birr said: “The outstanding features of the 2000 Series are a high level of frequency flexibility and multichannel capability with professional control via the Wireless Systems Manager software delivering a well thought-out menu structure and superb audio quality.” She added: In addition, the 2000 Series is backwards compatible with all generations of evolution wireless products and accessories from our 3000 and 5000 Series.”
