Sony Creative Software has released Acid Pro 7, the latest major release of the multitrack music creation/editing platform.
New to the package is a new audio and a new MIDI mixing console, a MIDI track “freeze” function, tempo curve controls, improved beat-mapping and AAC, FLAC, AC-3 support. Also added in is Zplane élastique Pro, a time-stretch/pitch-shift plug-in. Acid is now Vista-compatible. It ships with 3,000 music clips and 1,000 MIDI files. It also interfaces with Sony Vegas video software.
The Acid platform is a scalable 24-bit, 192 kHz music creation and editing suite that can produce works ranging from small two-track radio bumpers all the way up to 5.1 surround sound long-format musical programs.
