Sound Ideas Ships More Sounds

New General collection and production music available

FX and music library producer Sound Ideas has three new royalty-free collections coming to the NAB Show.

The first is a new installment of the well-known General series of sound effects. Series 6000 Extension VIII contains the usual myriad of sounds, from animals to people to machines to weather, that the General series is known for. The set is shipped on a DVD, with BWF files in 16-bit/44.1 kHz, 16-bit/48 kHz and 24-bit/48 kHz versions. Price: $495.

The other two collections are production music libraries on hard drives. Tune Drive 1 ($1,495) has 36 CDs-worth of music with a wide variety of musical formats: “Easy Listening, Drama Film Scores, Rock, Classical, Corporate, Dance & Club, Sports, New Age, Jazz, Tribute, Comedy & Cartoon, and World Music.” All files are BWF, 16-bit/44.1 kHz.

Tune Drive 2 ($1,795) is larger with 50 CDs of music packaged — also 16-bit/44.1 kHz BWF. It has many of the same flavors but adds in such specialties as holiday and wedding music cuts.

Sound Ideas President and CEO Brian Nimens explained: “We developed the Tune Drive concept to help our clients who are moving away from physical CDs and DVDs to the purely digital work environment.”
