has announced the release of a MADI to Dante bridge, the appropriately named MADI-Dante Bridge.

The one rack unit is designed to aid SSL’s C10 HD and C100 HDS broadcast consoles in interfacing with IP networks. Dante is an IP audio network environment developed by Audinate. The bridge will also work with other MADI devices.

The MADI-Dante Bridge has redundant power supplies, MADI and Dante ports along with clock sync inputs. It is designed for always-on operation. A front-panel headphone output allows for monitoring. It will handle 64 channels per bridge.

SSL Director of New Products Niall Feldman said, “An extensive collection of compatible devices from an array of manufacturers and thousands of installations worldwide, prove Dante’s versatility and reliability. We feel that IP audio networking has a great deal to offer broadcasters and are confident that the SSL MADI-Dante Bridge offers the first broadcast ready interface to this highly versatile network technology.”
