Superior Electric will promote its Stabiline Power Quality Solutions, come NAB time.
“This year’s booth will provide information and products to assist all broadcasters with the implementation of a ‘Total Power Quality Strategy’ for transmission sites, studios, production facilities and mobile production vehicles,” the company stated. Its products include automatic voltage regulators, uninterruptible power supplies and transient voltage surge suppressors/surge protective devices.
Director of Sales Mike Miga said that as the continued installation of sophisticated electronic hardware is implemented into the broadcast market, a well thought out power quality strategy “is essential in providing assurance that equipment operates properly, suffers no damage and station operations continue to run smoothly under the severest power quality situations.”
Superior’s Ted Gladis added, “Many factors — weather, delivery, demand, location, generation — come into play regarding the quality of the AC power a facility receives. What we offer is a method to guard against all these factors that wreak havoc on a broadcast facility. The equipment we protect is expensive and costly to replace. ... If you are investing in the infrastructure of any broadcasting facility it is in your best interest to protect that investment with a sound power quality strategy.”
