Tascam‘s 48-track hardware/software digital audio workstation package is getting a software upgrade.
Version 1.10 addresses some user suggestions. Users have been using the DAW for live multitrack recording and made requests. Now the X-48 has a “fail-safe” recording mode wherein the recording is saved every five seconds automatically — think “confidence” recording. Also, the GUI now offers a Big Meter Mode which looks more like a multitrack meter bridge.
Tascam Marketing Manager Jeff Laity said: “The X-48 has proven to be a popular choice for live recording … some of the top names in live recording use the X-48. We listened to their requests and version 1.10 is the result of their input.”
