A major theme at the IBC show in Amsterdam looks to have been measurement and monitoring equipment and the introduction of various boxes and accessories. Add to that list TC Electronic’s new LM2 level meter.
A single RU box, the LM2 is a stereo loudness and true peak level meter. TC Electronic believes it could pull duty as a broadcast ingest, linking and transmission monitor.
The LM2 is compliant with ITU-R BS.1770, ATSC A/85, EBU R128, NABJ, OP-59 and BCAP guidelines. It will handle logging duties as well as a plethora of TV applications such as metadata and dialnorm.
A USB port allows for greater information display and controlling options via a Windows or Mac computer. I/O includes AES/EBU, S/PDIF, TOSLink, ADAT and analog.
