Luci Live Broadcast equipment manufacturer Telos Systems and soft codec developer Technica Del Arte have announced a collaboration that makes TDA’s Luci Live smartphone codec compatible with Telos’ Z/IP One IP codec hardware.
According to a release, a software update, v1.7.0, will do the trick.
Z/IP One Telos Marketing Manager Clark Novak said: “Now, field reporters can use their smartphone to make an IP call to their Z/IP ONE and do a handheld remote from anywhere. It’s perfect for news gathering, quick high-quality remotes — even interviews, using easily available pro mic/headphone breakout accessories for mobile devices.”
Chief Technical Officer of Technica Del Arte Joost Bloemen said, “We’re excited to be working together with Telos to provide the best solutions for today’s mobile/handheld journalists.”
