Telos Systems has announced that it is shipping the Zephyr iPort codec and will be starring in Telos’s Streaming Solutions Center.
The 2 RU iPort is an IP-based codec. It is compatible with Axia Audio’s Livewire scheme and can handle up to eight bidirectional channels or 16 encoded channels.
Zephyr iPort handles AAC, HE-AAC, HE-AAC v2, HE-AAC-LD and MP3. Combined with an appropriately configured server and broadband connection, the iPort can encode audio for live Internet or mobile content streaming.
