Telos Z IPs Shrink, Go Mobile

Shows smaller 2RU new, smaller rackmount Zephyr/IP and road-ready portable version

Telos is offering NAB Show visitors a smaller Zephyr/IP codec and a road-ready Z/IP mixer.

The latest Zephyr/IP IP codec retains the features of the established model but in a shorter 2 RU frame. It handles G.711, G.722, MPEG Layer II, HE-AAC, AAC-ELD and PCM and is compatible with Axia Livewire. It also is SIP-compliant and has Telos’ new Agile Connection Technology for smoothing out sketchy connections.

For those in need of mixing with their codec the new Z/IP four-channel mixer/codec offers most of the same features in a ruggedized chassis for non-rackmounted use in the field. With prop legs, the roadworthy Z/IP mixer is ideal for tabletop use. New protective bands covering the edges of the front and back panels are made of rubber.

Also at the show, visitors to the Telos/Omnia/Axia booth have a chance to visit the Streaming Solution Center, stocked with products that “process, encode, transport and condition” in preparation for streaming. Products on display include the Omnia One Multicast, a processor designed for processing signals multicasting; Omnia A/XE, a Windows software plug-in MP3 and AAC encoder; the Omnia 8X, a networkable three-band processor; the Telos iPort, a multicodec with an IP interface and the Zephyr Xstream, an ISDN-compatible transceiver.
