Smartphone fans are abuzz this week about the news that Apple’s iPhones will be able to work on Verizon’s wireless network. Up til now AT&T had exclusivity for the iPhone.
Codec maker Tieline is pleased, too. The reason for its enthusiasm? Tieline’s Report-IT Live app is designed for the iPhone.
Tieline Technology International Marketing Manager Darren Levy said: “This highly anticipated announcement by the nation’s largest wireless carrier is terrific news for broadcasters as it will deliver greater network choice and significantly enhanced iPhone wireless 3G coverage throughout the United States.”
The agreement is expected to kick in on Feb. 10.
