Belgium’s TouchCast recently announced a major upgrade to its CasterStats Web media monitoring platform.
According to a release version 2.5, “brings improvements in performance and player detection as well as supporting on-demand streaming and extending the range of this analytics software to podcast broadcasters.”
The CasterStats.Reporter module has an improved GUI along with additional report/monitoring functions added. Mulitple databases can now be accessed while podcast and on-demand server logs can be analyzed. New reporting options were added as well.
The CasterStats.Dashboard module also underwent performance and GUI/display changes. SHOUTcast and Windows Media compatibility were improved.
Additionally, a new service, CasterStats.Proxy was introduced. CasterStats.Proxy acts as a proxy server to aid in gathering info from media servers.
