This NAB Show had a flavor of “the year of new FM processors.”
Drawing attention for its promised performance as well as its displays was the Wheatstone Vorsis AirAura.
The most touted feature of the AirAura is a new final clipper. Senior Product Development Engineer Jeff Keith said that the clipper technology “was nearly three years in development, along with secret on-air testing.” According to a press release the new clipper, along with improvements in multiband AGC and Vorsis Bass Management System technology, should lower distortion.
The AirAura includes enhanced audio signal measurement options along with an expanded GUI for monitoring the AirAura’s performance, features and operation.
An unusual feature is an onboard 802.11 wireless transceiver for remote control.
