WhisperRoom Celebrates Platinum Anniversary

Solving a sax problem created a company

WhisperRoom, known for its sound isolation booths, was started in 1990 to solve a problem: how to play a saxophone in an apartment without disturbing neighbors.

The company, celebrating 20 years in business, will be at the NAB Show promoting its 20 sizes and two levels, a Standard (single wall) and an Enhanced (double wall).

Portable and stationary sound isolation models are upgradeable from Standard to Enhanced at any time. Sizes range from a 3.5 x 2.5-foot, one-person unit to an 8.5 x 15.5-foot, room-size unit. WhisperRoom has application-specific optional features as well. Educational discounts, monthly specials and GSA pricing are available as well as world-wide shipping.

According to WhisperRoom, clients include NPR, NBC, Walt Disney Entertainment, MTV and Telemundo. Business is not limited to media networks but includes a range of users from audiology clinics to educational institutions (especially music programs), industrial and manufacturing facilities.
