WideOrbit Expands Capabilities of Its Automation System

Will hold demonstrations of Automation for Radio v3.3

The 2012 NAB Show will offer a preview of WideOrbit Inc.’s newest product, the Automation for Radio v3.3.

According to a press release from the San Francisco-based business media management software provider, approximately 500 radio stations have installed Radio Automation (a number that has gone up 110 new stations since last year’s NAB Show).

Features of the Automation, WO said, include new temperature announcement capabilities, IP integration with Wheatstone Blade consoles and the ability to share voice tracks between multiple stations.

WO’s client list includes E!, Fox Sports, Gannett Co., Madison Square Garden and NBCUniversal.

William “Dub” Irvin, director of product management for WO’s Radio Automation, said in a statement that he is eager to unveil the new product at NAB.
