Zaxcom will be on the show floor with the ZFR800 handheld wireless recorder and TRX800 handheld wireless microphone with internal recording.

The system provides internal recording capabilities for applications where sound quality and mobility are both important, such as newsgathering. The TRX800 uses digital modulation and produces a time code-referenced recording that serves as a backup.

Additionally, the company is debuting its TRX700 “plug-on” transmitter/recorder for use with shotgun-type microphones common in boom pole or ENG applications. Features include a removable mini SD card that records up to 12 hours of time code-referenced audio. It also uses digital modulation, which the company says frees users from the distortion effects of companders, FM modulation, pilot tones, antenna diversity switching and RF interference that degrade the quality of other broadcast wireless systems.

Also making a Vegas debut: the IFB800 transmitter, which transmits time code, IFB audio and remote control commands to the Zaxcom TRX/ZFR product lines.
