Hollywood, CA (March 26, 2018) – 30 years ago, when sampling technology was in its infancy, Doug Rogers saw an opportunity to innovate how samples are recorded and sold. He followed his vision, founded EastWest and wrote one of the most impressive success stories in music production history: Today, EastWest’s virtual instruments are considered the best available, endorsed by the who’s who of the music, film, TV and games industries, and have amassed hundreds of international industry awards.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary, EastWest is offering 50% off of many of their flagship products: the EastWest/Quantum Leap Hollywood Series with orchestra, strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion, iconic titles like Symphonic Orchestra and Symphonic Choirs, Ministry of Rock, Silk, Stormdrum 2, Goliath, and more. In a 2013 interview with Sound On Sound, Rogers explained his strategy for success: “Find what’s missing in the market as music changes, then do it first or do it better.” True to that motto, in 2015 EastWest was the first to launch a subscription model for virtual instruments called ComposerCloud, dramatically lowering the cost of entry to more than 10,000 beautiful, realistic sounding virtual instruments for music producers on any budget. During their 30th anniversary celebration, EastWest offers ComposerCloud at a 50% discount for the first 30 days for new subscribers. Most recently, EastWest released the much anticipated Hollywood Choirs, a ground-breaking new vocal virtual instrument with deep, rich male and angelic and dramatic female sections. Hollywood Choirs is the third choir EastWest/Quantum Leap has sampled and it is the culmination of that experience. The improved WordBuilder plugin allows the composer to type in any word or phrase and have it sung by the choir.
EastWest is looking forward to future decades and will continue to develop breathtakingly sounding instruments and new technologies. Happy 30 Anniversary, EastWest!
