Guam Gets First HD Radio Station

KIJI runs 12.5 kW with an antenna 320 above ground level;

HAG�T�A, Guam � Guam�s Choice Broadcasting has added HD Radio to �B104� KIJI(FM), according to KUAM(TV).

The company has plans in the works to add an HD channel to KNUT(FM), as well. This is the first HD station for Guam, according to KUAM.

KIJI runs 12.5 kW with an antenna 320 above ground level; KNUT has 8,000 watts of power from 115 ft AGL.

Guam is a U.S. territory in Micronesia, which is closer to parts of the world that have opted for other forms of digital radio, such as DAB or DRM.
