Oct 7, 2009 9:52 AM

Columbia, MD — Oct. 6, 2009 — This month, two more 2010 BMW models will carry HD Radio Technology as a standard feature: the mid-size crossover SUV X5 model and the mid-size sports activity coupe X6 model.

Currently, the 2009 BMW 7 Series and 6 Series, along with the 2010 BMW 1 Series, 3 Series and Z4 Roadster, include the digital broadcast infotainment systems as a standard feature, rounding out the number of standardized BMW models to seven. The company continues to offer HD Radio technology as an option across the balance of its line: the 5 Series and the X3.

HD Radio Technology is available to 85 percent of Americans with more than 2,000 HD Radio stations on the air, and 1,000+ new FM multicast channels (HD2/HD3).

The 2010 BMW X5 Series and X6 Series will be available in BMW dealerships starting October 2009.
