PRAGUE�The communications regulator of the Czech Republic, CTU, has authorized a test transmission of DAB+, at a power level of 20 KW, around Prague.�

CTU will issue the revocable license for Czech Radiokomunikace’s usage of blocks on the 12C channel, according toTelecompaper.com.� Test results will be used in planning future DAB+ networks.�

It�s anticipated that DAB+ technology will lead to a reduction in operational costs for broadcasters there, along with a more efficient use of radio spectrum.� The DAB+ multiplex technology allows for more �stations� to be broadcast. �
