LONDON — Digital Radio UK has announced the conference host, a new speaker and a further sponsor for its “Drive to Digital 2018 — ‘The Future of Radio'” conference.
The conference host will be the broadcaster Gethin Jones, co-host of the brand new Hits Radio/Manchester breakfast show. Ian O’Neill, OBE, head of radio at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, will be discussing the digital future for radio and answering questions following a video address from Minister for Digital and the Creative Industries Margot James MP.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with 300 delegates from across the broadcast, automotive, retail and technology industries. After the presentations, attendees will be invited to attend an industry drinks and networking reception, sponsored by DTS Connected Radio.
DRUK also announced audio/digital radio manufacturer Pure will be sponsoring the conference, joining main sponsors Arqiva and DTS Connected Radio.
The event is free of charge and will be held Sept. 25 at the British Museum Conference Center in London.
