DRM and Broadcast Australia co-sponsor ABU Digital Broadcast Symposium

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) has announced that Broadcast Australia and Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) will act as the respective principal and major sponsors of its Digital Broadcasting Symposium 2011, scheduled for March 8 thru 11 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This year’s event, entitled “Adding the 3rd Dimension,” is the seventh in a series of annual symposiums staged by the ABU and featuring digital technology presentations, panels, and workshops, as well as a free exhibition showcasing new products and services.
Although a fully detailed schedule of proceedings has yet to be released, ABU’s featured speakers list includes representatives from Sony, Fraunhoffer, Nautel, Harris, Dolby, DRM, BBC, NHK, and a number of other broadcast organizations. Registration is required for all events.
The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) is a non-profit, professional broadcast association with more than 200 members spanning 59 countries.
