GENEVA � Reception of the Digital Radio Mondiale�s DRM+ (for VHF frequencies) on a regular Android phone was recently demonstrated in a YouTube video that has since been removed.
The dongle shown in the video is one of four DRM receivers made and cost several dollars.�Fraunhofer IIS is also working with cellphone manufacturers to have the DRM receiver included natively. The antenna shown will be replaced by the headphones.�
The Fraunhofer DRM receiver app is installed on the Android phone. All the features of DRM are available with this software application.��
